More About Keith

Becky called him my right hand man on one of her posts and he is. I think of him as my rock. If there is one person in this house that I can count on being consistent and responsible, it's him. More so than me. I'm a mom (and, yes, a girl) and think with my feelings a lot of times when I should be using my head. And he calls me on it and redirects my thinking or just keeps everyone out of my way.

I have new videos of a choir concert tonight. No solos for Keith. That's what I've been requesting from him for months for Mother's Day. There are a lot of kids here and Mr. Harmon is amazing with them. They've had a great year. If you want more videos of the concert, go to youtube and search videos by user name mrkaw. I don't know how many he posted there, but at least a couple more.

Actually, the really exciting news is that he went to prom a couple of weeks ago.

It was a hurry up deal, but we got the tux and got him dressed up.

Jacqui's family goes to our church so her mom and I compared notes from that night. Two very tall, very thin, very shy kids. I was just so happy to see him step out of his comfort zone and do something with other kids his age rather than, ahem, ME.

Last weekend he and I were going to see a movie together and I noticed he was chatting on line with Jacqui and I gently told him it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he wanted to ask her to go instead. It took him a while but he did and she said yes.

And I cut a few more centimeters off my apron string.
